Security Molding started with one machine and a simple promise — make the part right, treat people fair, and take care of it. Fifty-plus years later, that promise is heading into its next generation.
The road here
A small shop a block and a half away, running parts on a single press — pins, bushings, and the kind of small plastic parts that have been our specialty ever since.
The first brand-new Arburg, then the move to 255 Factory Road — more presses, more capacity, and room to keep growing without ever losing the small-shop feel.
Months of work earn us ISO 9001 certification — lot traceability, first-article approvals, calibration, photo work instructions. We never stopped running it, certified or not.
With everyone buying RVs, we ran two shifts and grew to thirty people. While other molders ran out of hardware, our stock kept us running — and we gained business we still have today.
Now run day-to-day by the founder's daughter, with his grandson learning the machines and the customers both. A small, cross-trained crew, the same promise on the wall, and an eye on the work that comes next.
A family business
The founder figured it out the hard way, with a family to feed and a shop to keep running. He taught one rule above all: never gouge the customer, always be fair. That rule still runs the place.
Today his daughter runs the business and his grandson is on the machines — learning what we make before he ever learns to sell it. As one of the crew put it, "he doesn't act like the owner's grandson." Around here, that's about the highest compliment there is.
Take care of it. Whatever it is, the customer shouldn't have to worry about it.
Be fair. Best price, first time, every time.
Waste nothing. We even save the regrind — and pass the savings on.
The shop
A small, cross-trained crew — so someone always knows your parts, and someone always picks up.
Fifty years of small parts, fair prices, and answered phones. Bring us your next one.
